SIDS and Kids WA is proud to launch its inaugural Sunshine Beach Run, an event proudly supported by the West Coast Eagles Football Club.
The Sunshine Beach Run event, which aims to assist those who have been tragically affected by Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, is an initiative of West Coast Eagles physiotherapist Chris Perkin in memory of his unborn baby Jake and wife Cindy who passed away in 2009.
Bring your family and friends along and join players from the West Coast Eagles in a typically Western Australian Sunday morning with a run/walk along City Beach. You can enter the 5km run or walk the 5km, 3km, or 1km south. If you wish, you can run instead of walking the 1Km and 3km events too. The course will be south from City Beach on the soft sand and back on the firm sand. There will be a carnival like atmosphere after the event, with fun and festivities for everyone. The Sunshine Beach Run will be held at City Beach on Sunday,12thFebruary 2012.
Check in from 07:30, Run starts at 08:00, Walkers from 08:30.
Entrant packs will be available for pick up from Wednesday 8 - Friday 10 February between 7:30am - 6:30pm from Suite 2, 186 Hay Street Subiaco (next to Automasters).
Parking passes will be available at pack pick up. All entrants that arrive at City Beach by car must park on Jubilee Park, follow the directional signs on Oceanic Drive. Council rangers will be on hand to issue tickets for illegal parking.
No dogs or prams are permitted in the Sunshine Beach Run.
Proceeds from the Sunshine Beach Run will assist SIDS and Kids WA in providing vital services and programs in your local community.
