This year, we’ve made our event tees an optional extra for participants to purchase during registration and reduced the base entry fee to reflect this.
Don’t despair if you are keen to purchase one of our moisture wicking UV35+ protective tees. You can purchase the traditional ‘Red Nose’ red event tee or the brand new white event tee for $14.95 with your registration.
The last date to order event tees through our online registration system is midnight Sunday 5 February 2017. No event tees will be available after this date.

Distribution of race packs for those NOT purchasing event tees will commence Thursday 2 February 2017.

If you have not received your race pack within 5 working days, please contact us on 1300 302 465.
For those registering after midnight on Monday 13 February 2017, you will have to collect your race pack from the Number Pick Up marquee from 7:00am on event morning. Please bring your receipt to confirm your registration and collect your race pack.
Please note that all runners and walkers need to pin their race number on the front of their top before making your way to the start line. Anyone without a race bib will not be permitted to start the event.
Please dispose of your race bib and timing chip thoughtfully after the race.

The winner of our largest fundraiser prize*, Melanie and Sean Manning, take home a fantastic Princess Cruises cruise valued at $2,000 thanks to our fabulous travel partners, City Beach Travel & Cruise and Princess Cruises.
Our runner up, Ian Bassett took home a $500 Prince Cruises voucher thanks to City Beach Travel & Cruise and Princess Cruises.

Celebrity Sprint Race
This year Sunshine Beach Runners will have the opportunity to cheer on some of Perth’s famous sporting personalities as they take on the best of the best sprinters from the local business community, Christ Church Grammar School sprint champ and some other mystery ‘Perth-onalities’.
Make sure you are on the beach from 7:45am for the 2nd annual battle of the beach for the perpetual Perkin memorial beach sprint trophy.
Angel Tribute Wings
Teams, families and individuals can dedicate their 2017 Sunshine Beach Run experience to a family who has experienced the loss of a child. Thanks to event partners Mail Makers Integrated, participants can collect their angel wing tribute card from Sunshine Beach Run volunteers on event day, write a personal message on it and pin it to their back during the event. After the event, pin your angel wings to our tribute wall near the main stage as a very personal message of remembrance.
All participants and volunteers can park on Jubilee Park during the event. For a gold coin donation, you will receive entry to event parking, a free can of sparkling San Pellegrino flavoured water PLUS go in the running to win a 32GB HP Stream 7 table drawn on the main stage on event day at 9:40am.
Patrons may leave a bag in the cloakroom during the event. The cloakroom is located on the grassed area above City Beach near the Main Stage.
Please do not leave any personal belongings in the cloakroom as event management and volunteers will not be liable for lost or stolen property.
First aid will be provided by Royal Life Saving Society of WA. First aid personnel will be stationed out on the course and at the finish line for those requiring medical attention.
Water stations will be located on the course and at the finish line.
Toilets will be available under Clancy’s Fish Pub and a few portable toilets within the assembly area on the grassed area behind the Staff & Volunteer Check In marquee.
Food & Beverages
Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough will be serving up a range of hot and cold breakfast foods on the day plus a range of hot and cold beverages. Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough staff are donating their time to come and satisfy your appetites and quench your thirst on event day, with a portion of proceeds taken on the day being donated back to Red Nose. We thank Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough for their generous support.
Children will be well and truly kept busy on event day with a bouncy castle, inflatable water slide and face painting there for the younger patrons to enjoy.
A range of transport options to and from City Beach area available. For the latest train and bus timetables, visit www.transperth.wa.gov.au. Event organisers encourage car pooling for those driving to the Sunshine Beach Run.
