We sold out last year, so make sure you add a tee to your registration before you change your mind and we’ve sold out! 

The last date to order event tees through our online registration system is midnight Sunday 4 February 2018. No event tees will be available after this date.

Important Dates

•  Earlybird online registrations close 11:59pm WST Sunday 21 January 2018.

•  Anyone entering before the close of the earlybird period will go in the running to win a fantastic prize.

•  Late online registrations close 12:00pm WST Saturday 17 February 2018.

•  On day registrations close 8:00am WST Sunday 18 February 2018.

Race Packs

Distribution of race packs for those NOT purchasing event tees will commence Thursday 1 February 2018.

Distribution of race packs for those who have ordered event tees will commence Monday 12 February 2018.

If you have not received your race pack within 5 working days, please contact us on 1300 302 465.

For those registering after midnight on Monday 12 February 2018, you will have to collect your race pack from the Number Pick Up marquee from 7:00am on event morning. Please bring your receipt to confirm your registration and collect your race pack.

Race Bib

Please note that all runners and walkers need to pin their race number on the front of their top before making your way to the start line. Anyone without a race bib will not be permitted to start the event. Please dispose of your race bib and timing chip thoughtfully after the race.

Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third placegetters (runners only) in the 1km, 3km and 5km run events only on the Main Stage at 9:00am sharp.

This year we are awarding trophies/prizes to the largest teams* in the following categories:

•  Largest community groups & clubs team 

•  Largest gym/fitness team

•  Largest school team.

* The largest team trophies will be awarded to the teams with the most participants in each event category. Prizes will not be awarded to teams with the most funds raised for Red Nose.

Largest Fundraiser

Once again, we have a fantastic prize on offer for the largest fundraiser for this year’s Sunshine Beach Run*.

The largest fundraiser prize will be awarded to the largest individual fundraiser for the Sunshine Beach Run.

Results

Results will be available online from late Monday 19 February 2018.

Celebrity Sprint Race

This year Sunshine Beach Runners will have the opportunity to cheer on some of Perth’s famous sporting personalities as they take on the best of the best sprinters from the local business community, Christ Church Grammar School sprint champ and some other mystery ‘Perth-onalities’. Make sure you are on the beach from 7:45am for the 2nd annual battle of the beach for the perpetual Perkin memorial beach sprint trophy.

Angel Tribute Wings

Teams, families and individuals can dedicate their 2018 Sunshine Beach Run experience to a family who has experienced the loss of a child.Participants can collect their angel wing tribute card from Sunshine Beach Run volunteers on event day, write a personal message on it and pin it to their back during the event. After the event, pin your angel wings to our tribute wall near the main stage as a very personal message of remembrance.

Parking

All participants and volunteers can park on Jubilee Park during the event.

Cloakroom

Patrons may leave a bag in the cloakroom during the event. The cloakroom is located on the grassed area above City Beach near the Main Stage.

Please do not leave any personal belongings in the cloakroom as event management and volunteers will not be liable for lost or stolen property.

First Aid

First aid will be provided by Royal Life Saving Society of WA. First aid personnel will be stationed out on the course and at the finish line for those requiring medical attention.

Water Stations

Water stations will be located on the course and at the finish line.

Toilets

Toilets will be available under Clancy’s Fish Pub and a few portable toilets within the assembly area on the grassed area behind the Staff & Volunteer Check In marquee.

Food & Beverages

 

Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough will be serving up a range of hot and cold breakfast foods on the day plus a range of hot and cold beverages. Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough staff are donating their time to come and satisfy your appetites and quench your thirst on event day, with a portion of proceeds taken on the day being donated back to Red Nose. We thank Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough for their generous support.

Entertainment

Children will be well and truly kept busy on event day with a bouncy castle, inflatable water slide and face painting there for the younger patrons to enjoy.

Getting There A range of transport options to and from City Beach area available. For the latest train and bus timetables, visit www.transperth.wa.gov.au. Event organisers encourage car pooling for those driving to the Sunshine Beach Run.
